Do you want to know about my family? Huh… well… Of course, what harm can it do?
First of all I have a family of 4, my mom, my dad, my little sister, and me. This is a family like no other, because this is our family.
I want to start with my sister, her name is Karynne, and she is 7 years old. What finds her unique, is that she has very curly hair, in my family no one has curly hair except her. We get into fights but does it mean I don’t like her? No… It’s just like having fun once in a while… (my opinion)
My mom, she is loving and caring, not as strict as dad. (sorry dad) But she may be strict at times because we don’t listen to her. She loves to shop especially when there is a sale, hehehe…
Now my dad, he is adventurous, a risk taker, he is the opposite of my mom, my mom is all about safety, while my dad is all about adventure. For example when my dad, my sister and I go to Philippines, without my mom, my dad will let us jump from a small fall to a deep river.
The bonding we all share is when we eat our favorite food or watch our favorite TV show or play our own gadget. We all have differences, but they don’t drive us apart!
P.S. Here’s a short note about social media, anything can happen! So my advice is not to give out too much information about yourself or your friends and family.
People call her ''Karynne'', she loves animals, and have curly, wild hair.
Me: Tell me about some of the places where you've been the happiest.
Karynne: Cartoon Network in Pattaya, Ice skating in SM Cebu, and, Central World.
Me: What do you like about me?
Karynne: You play minecraft and Lego with me...
Right here is my mom, her favorite color is purple and loves to sing.
Me: What Was your first memory of me?
Mama: When I heard your first cry and the doctor brought you closer, I right away checked if you have complete limbs and fingers. I even noticed your cute little dimples in the cheeks.. and as I held and kissed you, I couldn't help but shed tears of happiness.. realizing what a beautiful blessing you were. That was the most memorable and unforgettable moment with you.. That was 28 June 2005 when you came out of my tummy.
Me: What did it feel like to have your very first child?
Mama: I felt so much blessed to be a mother. It was not easy at first, I struggled in breastfeeding you, I panicked when you cried at night and sometimes I ended up crying with you. Internet had helped us a lot when we needed answers to the "hows" and "whys" of parenting. It was quite an adjustment to my lifestyle when I became a mother, not enough time to sleep, couldn't go out shopping as often as before, and other sacrifices I had to do.. but yet, I felt all these sacrifices for you are worth it. It's indeed a wonderful opportunity to be a mother. And it's a big bonus for me to be blessed with two beautiful, talented and smart daughters. I'm forever grateful.
My most young avatar goes to.... my dad??? Wow!!! Here's the person who taught me to play basketball...
Me: Who is your favorite superhero and why?
Papa: Xmen, but if you talk about the mutant superheroes maybe particularly Professor X, Nightcrawler and Wolverine. Why? even though they are mutants, they want to preserve the human race and protect the environment we live in.
Me: Who is your favorite basketball player and why?
Papa: Basketball player? maybe.. I guess in my generation I grew up idolizing Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player...
"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I cant accept not trying"
My determination to excel and try my best in everything is because Jordan is not afraid of failing...
She goes by the name "Maricor", she is my cousin and she is a nurse, and does most of her selfies at the hospital.
Me: How do you find me worthy to keep your secret?
Maricor: Because you are my cousin... the cousin whom I can trust... who listens to all my crazy stuff. You do not experience all my pains... but its seems that you understand, because somehow, you can relate. Telling me some of your school experiences too gives me the confidence of telling you my secrets...
Me: What made you play basketball?
Maricor: Basketball game, is the most famous game in our country (Philippines), women/ men do play basketball ,professional, non-professional, old, young, we all do play Basketball.
Its not my kind of game , playing basketball, but playing this kind of game, gives me a meaning of how important I am to my cousins. I make them laugh , we get hurt, we get tired ,but all through out the play, we just enjoy. We dont think of anything else, but to get sweat and go crazy playing on it.
Here we have Sheree Ann, the older sister of Maricor, and also has been a nurse, back then...
Me: What changes did you go through when you became a mother?
Sheree Ann: It took a long time for me to accept that I have to give up my nursing career.. I was very passionate about being a nurse, but due to its demanding and unpredictable schedule, especially the night shift duties, left me with no choice but to chose the role of being a mother..I chose to be a full time mother so I could give my hundred percent care to Cheska..
Me: What was your reaction when Duterte became the President of Philippines?
Sheree Ann: I felt bad when Duterte was elected as President... but my respect is there and as an ordinary citizen, I have to support and give him a chance to showcase his skills for the betterment of the country..I applaud when he does the right thing, but I also condemn those that do the wrong.. As a Christian, I am against all kind of killings because I believe that life is a precious gift from God.. And in my own opinion, human rights must be respected and the rule of law shall prevail..

It was about to be sunset and there I was watching it across the ocean. "Why are you so far??? Why can't I reach?" were the questions jumping in my head... As it got dark I stayed in my position, looking for the sun to come out and play... "Oh where are you???"... Hours and hours passed, I was still there waiting for the sun to play, listening to the sea started to bore me... When suddenly, something behind me appeared, it looked like a dim light.

Hey All!!! And welcome to 2017 Student Blogging Challenge!!!! It is an honor to do it once again!!! Since I’m done with my about me…. I will write about my home land…
Here is an A to Z, about my home land, with little bits of introduction…
Hi I am Karah, and I am writing about my home land… Although I spend most of my life in Thailand, where I was born, I am a Filipino, and I consider Philippines as my home land… I live in various places around Philippines, my mom came from Ozamiz City in Mindanao, while my dad came from 2 places, Cebu City and Leyte in Visayas (For your information Philippines consists, of three major islands namely LUZON, VISAYAS, and MINDANAO). My family tries to visit our relatives in those three places every year.
In Cebu City, my sister and mine’s favorite thing to do is skating and eating. My mom’s favorite thing to do is going shopping, while my dad likes to go out with his friends. While at home, my sister and I like to just watch TV, play gadgets, and play with the pet dogs there, where I recently got bitten by one (That’s another story), my sister loves to play with a puppy named KiKay. My sister likes to carry her, because she is light as a stuff toy, but can fight like a tiny monster. Nothing can stop my sister from playing with Kikay, even though my mom keeps on warning her to play with care.
Ozamiz City is much quieter than Cebu. There is really not much to do there, but luckily there is Jollibee, my favorite Restaurant. Mostly we play, chat and eat with cousins, and relatives there. During December we visit some cousins in the Tangub City where it’s known as Christmas symbols capital of the Philippines, because of its beautiful lights displayed at the plaza.
In Leyte, we went under the sea to see corals and fishes. At first it was very scary, because it was deep. But because of our eXcitement, we the young ones, readily jumped off from the raft, with zero percent of nervousness… “SPWASH” Off we go!!!
Holidays in Philippines is always fun,
Can actually do things in tons,
If you understand,
I’m Proud of this home land,
I will always treasure this one!!!
