Canine vs Feline

​Some of you might be wondering “What is a Canine or Feline?” Well, to answer your question they are basically the most common pets you can have, dogs and cats. Well, I have done a little research about dogs and cats and I can tell you there are lots of similarities as well as differences between these two creatures.
 
Let’s start with similarities. Both are domesticated animals, in other words “pets”. They both have similar body shape, with four legs, a long tail, and a horizontal body posture. Well, both have hair, give birth to young, and feed milk to their babies. They both have claws which they use to scratch when they are angry, yet they are cute and playful animals. They both return love and affection that their owners give to them. If you like to pet your pet, your place will certainly won’t be clean, as pet owners know, they shed.
 
Now to my favorite part, the differences. When doing my research about differences between the two, I found lots of facts that I didn’t know. When you are buying a pet, the cost of each differs, from the general one you want to the specific breed. Dogs are more expensive than cats. Unless you get a stray, they are obviously for free. Cats are usually individual, they enjoy being by themselves, while dogs stay in packs playing and chasing. Dogs can be trained very quickly, some in a matter of minutes to simple commands like “sit” and “roll”, while cats are very difficult, maybe even impossible because they don’t listen to directions. Cats have memory that can last up to 16 hours, while a dog’s memory lasts up to 5 minutes. Dogs in the wild are distant runners to catch prey, while cats creep up and pounce, they are what some people call sprinters. In addition, dogs have 42 teeth, while cats have 30.
 
With this information you should be able to decide the “PURRFECT” pet for you and maybe having a pet later. But if these two pets aren’t interesting enough for you I suggest having a hamster…
