Every December our choir does caroling for a cause. Caroling is singing Christmas songs to houses to share the Christmas joys to families and to collect money to give to orphans and street children at a slum area in Bangkok, Thailand. From very young age, I go with my parents to caroling. We sing for about 30 mins or more in one house. Sometimes, we go to more than 2 houses in one night. Via: Pinterest The families will prepare delicious food for us and give us money. The kids will sing the 'Give Love on Christmas Day'. When I was a kid (Which I still am), I felt like my voice was missing, it felt weird when only kids sang, but really there were Vince, Cheeska and me. The other kids have reached there teen age, I am about to reach mine. In some houses, the families will give special presents to the kids like me, for example money, from my godparents when we carol in their house. At the end of caroling time, we will visit the Mercy Center at Klong Toey, Bangkok, to give the money to the orphanage. We will sing songs to the children there, give them our old stuff toys and other toys, and clothes, eat with them and play with them. I feel sad for the kids without Mommy and Daddy. I feel blessed that I have my own parents, both alive, and that I can always ask them for whatever I need, but sadly I don’t really get everything that I ask for… Hehehe… If you ever joined The Caroling Group, and you received money for your excellent performance, what will you do with it? If you had the opportunity to join will you take the chance? If you were the head of this group, what days are your performances allowed on?
